Shep’s experience includes subdivision and site development surveys, engineering, construction, and deformation surveys, 3D laser scanning surveys, hydrographic surveys, geodetic control surveys and GPS surveys for photogrammetric mapping and LiDAR. His work has ranged from small boundary surveys in urban areas to acreage verifications for remote woodlands covering thousands of acres, to large engineering surveys on a variety of commercial, residential, municipal and industrial sites, to geodetic and engineering surveys on right of way projects covering over a hundred miles. He has also managed and performed GPS surveys to extend high order, geodetic quality control and establish photocontrol points supporting two cycles of Maine’s 5-year Statewide Orthophoto program and associated Lidar surveys covering the state of Maine.

Shep is, and has been, actively involved in several surveying and community organizations including the Maine Board of Licensure for Professional Land Surveyors, National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS), Maine Society of Land Surveyors (MSLS), the Industrial Advisory Committee for the Surveying Technology Program, University of Maine, and the Orono Economic Development Corporation.
